Parish Survey

An initial consultation was held to gather the views of local residents, businesses and stakeholders.
March 2015

Designate

Designate the neighbourhood plan area
April 2016 – May 2016

Survey Analysis

The Steering Group set out to identify local issues, establish the plan objectives & create a vision statement using the responses from the Parish Survey.
May 2016 – September 2016

Investigate

The Steering Group set out to investigate the identified local issues and how they could be resolved through the Neighbourhood Plan. This included a Call for Sites exercise.
October - November 2016

Drafting

The Steering Group drafted the Neighbourhood Plan.
November - December 2016

Pre-Submission Consultation

The Pre-Submission Bury Neighbourhood Plan is made available for consultation pursuant to Regulation 14 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012. All are welcome to comment on the draft plan.
January 2017

*Analyse & Amend

Consider consultation responses and prepare the Submission Neighbourhood Plan
February 2017

*Submission

Submit the Neighbourhood Plan to the South Downs National Park Authority. They will then: - Conduct 6 week consultation - Appoint an independent examiner who will examine the plan - Examiners report will be published - Plan will be modified if necessary
Spring / Summer 2017

*Referendum & Adoption

Referendum will take place to decide if the plan should be used for making planning decisions. If it is then the plan will be “made” and becomes part of the local Development Plan
